Can I order online?
Most of our greenhouse kits, equipment/supplies, and backyard & outdoor living items can be purchased online by adding the items to your cart and following the steps to purchase. Please note that freight and shipping are not included in your purchase price- our representatives will contact you to finalize your transaction, including shipping costs. Your card will not be charged without your approval of the total.
Gothic Arch Greenhouses also offers a variety of custom greenhouses and engineered structures that can be ordered by telephone. Once our representatives determine your exact needs and send you a quote, you can complete the sales process by phone or email.
Where do you ship your products?
We ship our products primarily within North America, but can ship worldwide. We work frequently with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and can arrange Customs Clearance for shipments outside of the United States. Please note that freight, shipping, and applicable Customs and Border fees are additional costs and will need to be calculated on an individual basis. Please see our shipping policy for more information.
When will my order ship?
If you placed your order with a sales team member, your quote will include the expected lead time for production. If you ordered online or without a written quote, you may email help@gothicarchgreenhouses.com for an update. Lead times and expected ship dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Estimated ship date is the date that your order is expected to ship from our factory—this is not the delivery date, and does not include transit time.
How will my order ship?
Depending upon the size of your order, it will ship via motor freight, or via parcel (UPS or FedEx) service. Some orders may ship in multiple shipments. Please be on the lookout for emails with detailed tracking information.
How big will my shipment be?
If your order is expected to be larger than standard parcel shipping size, you will receive a detailed shipping and delivery information email to review and return, so that we can discuss how to plan for offloading.
Do you design custom structures?
Absolutely. We love helping customers build their dream greenhouse, conservatory, pergola, or anything else you dream up for your ideal garden space. Our Gothic Arch design team will work for you and collaborate with you to give you exactly what you want.
Will I need a building permit?
Building permits are often not required for small structures but city, county and state regulations are different in every area. Call your local probate office to determine the building codes and requirements in your area.
Do you provide engineered stamp drawings for permits?
If your building permit requires engineered stamped drawings, we will provide them to you. Costs are determined on a case-by-case basis.
What's the best foundation for a greenhouse?
Our sales team can make recommendations on specific structures, but generally speaking, wood frames and concrete slabs are the most common foundations used for greenhouses. Wood frames are easy to work with in the event that you ever want to move or expand your greenhouse. Concrete footings or slabs are ideal foundations for permanent sites.
Wooden timbers, bricks, rocks and decorative base panels secured to the foundation can be used to increase the height of your greenhouse. Just make sure that the foundation is completely level before installing your greenhouse. Check your local building codes regarding site requirements and if a permit is required.
Will your greenhouses hold up during heavy wind or snowfall?
Most of our greenhouses can be engineered to handle specific wind and snow loads. If you are looking for a non-engineered kit, we can recommend the best greenhouse for your area's specific climate. Our customer service representatives will help you look up the local building codes for your area and recommend an appropriate structure or upgrade package where needed.
Can I assemble one of your kits myself?
Some kits are small enough to be assembled by one or two people in just a couple of hours. Other kits will require more time and possibly more people to help with assembly. We will send you complete assembly instructions. Contact us at 800-531-4769 if you have questions about a specific kit.
What if I want to hire a contractor?
Many of our clients hire contractors to help build their greenhouse. We will work directly with your contractor to help build your structure, and answer any question during the planning and pre-construction phases to ensure that your build goes smoothly. We also have “Active Supervisor” services available in many areas, in which a member of our install crew travels to your jobsite to work directly with your chosen contractor during construction.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Crest Capital financing is our primary provider. They are a BBB accredited, 5-star rated company that works directly with the customer to offer flexible options that fit your budget. We have several other providers, as well, to suit your individual needs.
Do you install your greenhouses?
Yes! Gothic Arch Greenhouses works with a network of installers that work in many areas of the US and can travel to most locations at an additional cost. Please contact us at 800-531-4769 to ask about our installer team coming to your area. We also offer Active Supervisors to lend expertise and assist the contractor of your choice.
